Glimpse into the future: CAST and PixelPool 3D collaboration

Sharing knowledge, creating unforgettable experiences, and ensuring shared interest are central to retailers and trade show organizations. The same applies to CAST, trade platform for Shoes, Sports & Fashion. Digitalization and innovation are thereby indispensable keys in the puzzle to serve retailers and B2B brands of the future.

Monday, July 8, CAST, in partnership with Pixelpool, presented an inspiring sneak peak of the promising and revolutionary modern 3D world of showrooms and retail at PREVIEW Men. The collaboration between CAST and PixelPool is part of CAST's initiatives to explore and implement digitalization and serve an ever-changing market.

Digitalization in the BrandPortal
The traditional way retailers and buyers learn about brands and place orders has changed significantly since the acceleration of technological developments and the Internet. With a different way of working from retailers and buyers, a different approach from brands, showrooms and agencies is essential.

CAST has made significant strides in their digitization process over the past five years. An important part of this transformation is the development of the BrandPortal, an advanced tool that allows exhibitors to digitally present their collections to retailers, who can discover new brands and easily connect with each other. The BrandPortal is constantly evolving and offering more and more features, making it an essential tool within the footwear and fashion industry. This includes cataloging and optimal data handling, where a company has the right front portal to reach the desired target group, but also in the backend everything is structured and categorized in one place. In this way, the structure of article data is secured. CAST strives to eventually function as a data authority that acts in the interest of the entire industry.

Collaboration with PixelPool
To further realize their digital ambitions, CAST has entered into a strategic partnership with PixelPool. PixelPool, a leader in digital solutions for the fashion industry, helps clients through their extensive 3D techniques and experience with top brands, allowing brands to save time, money and resources and improve the presentation and sales of their collections.

Together, CAST and PixelPool showcased the possibilities of 3D and digital retail at PREVIEW Men. PixelPool has already done an impressive job of digitizing a portion of CAST's physical event venue, including detailed renderings of presentation blocks and distinctive decorative details. This digitization aims to surprise and inspire the retail market with innovative 3D solutions. CAST therefore sees a great future in digital showrooms and samples, but wants to emphasize that it is not about complete surrender, but rather finding the perfect balance between physical and online. CAST and PixelPool show that by using 3D technologies, customers can save costs and operate more efficiently, purposefully and sustainably.

3D digitization and the future

With the strategic collaboration between CAST and PixelPool, the shoe and fashion industry is taking a step toward the future in which physical and online retail reinforce each other. Innovation and technology are at the heart of this transformation, aiming to inspire and renew the market. These advances not only provide new opportunities for exhibitors and retailers, but also an enriched experience for customers. This is fully in line with CAST's strategy of showrooms where business takes place, knowrooms where knowledge can be retrieved and shared and, finally, wow rooms where you are inspired.

Together, CAST and PixelPool are taking the industry to new heights, embracing and sharing a balanced combination of traditional and modern techniques to create a dynamic and conducive future for the fashion world.

On Monday, August 26, a special seminar during the Schoenendagen will cover all developments in this area. If interested, buyers and retailers can register for this at CAST.
