“Toon is a man who continues to communicate between manufacturer and retailer with relentless enthusiasm,” said M. van de Wardt-Olde Riekerink of Profisor, “He has helped keep Solidus on track over the past 25 years, and to continue to offer our customers a successful and distinctive product.” Telling of his commitment is that his first internship at Profisor actually seemed to be falling apart, but Toon insisted on just starting anyway with his leg in a cast. And he never left after that, either.

After a start-up with Henk Olde Riekerink, it has been Toon Van Gorp who has asked for, and received, attention in the marketplace for the ever-widening base of consumers. And he has ensured that the offered products have been given a younger look. It should not be underestimated how well he has kept his ear to the ground at retailers, and how important it is that he takes shoe designers to customers every year to hear what is good and could be even better.

For many more years Toon, together with the colleagues he now has within Profisor, wants to work on expanding what can surely be called his life's work. This year a special model was co-developed by himself, he continues to welcome new customers who embrace the brand, the relentless enthusiasm clearly bears fruit.
